When Tysabri was suspended earlier this week, it was due to the death of one patient from progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), as well as one additional case of a sick trailist with suspected PML.
Now, sad news... According to the Associated Press, Elan and Biogen announced today that this second patient has passed away with a definitive diagnosis of PML. [See Update-- the patient is still alive]
