Hey Everyone,

I'm definitely overweight and I'll be starting Avonex soon. Anyone else on here have a little extra "junk in the trunk" hahaha and how do you do with your Avonex shot? Where do you take your shot?

I hope you are doing well with your Avonex injections. The secret is to HYDRATE well before hand and afterwards and to also take IBUPROPHEN or the like an hr before and again afterwards in the recommended dosage time.
I started Avonex in July 08 with little or no sides, my first injection was without premedication because Iwas curious of the real side effects. They weren't bad at all, just a few hrs of chills and aching as with a gentle case of the flu. I take mine at night after dinner so I can sleep through any sides. When I don't Hydrate I am fatigued the next day.
