Poland in May!

Post by mags4short »

Hi, I have received an email to say that I will be sent an appointment in May and am exited to say the least.

I have been told about paying 3 weeks beforehand and that the price is 6 900 euros. What I do not know is what this includes?

Does anyone have a breakdown of what is included? I assume it includes the tests and prodedure if needed, but I believe after reading the forum that it now also includes accomodation. Is this right?

If so is it only accomodation for myself? My husband will be coming with me and I wanted to make sure that we both have somewhere to stop :)

I want to start looking at flights etc and I suppose I can wait until I receive the next email with the date etc, but am like a dog with a new bone, I want to get things rolling and know where I am :o

Any info will be gratefully recieved, Mags xx

Hi Mags,
The details are somewhere in more than one thread on this forum, but I didn't find it yet while doing a quick search. This is what I remember and/or can dig out of my own e-mails:

6900 euros covers all expenses: MRV, Doppler, Doctors consults, procedure, 5 days of hotel (Qubus), taxi from and to the Katowice or Krakow airports, taxis to and from all tests and procedures.
If the entire procedure isn't done, then money is refunded according to this formula:
If the treatment ends with MRV and Doppler only the patient is refunded 5 100 euro out of previously paid 6 900. If the treatment ends with flebography, patients are refunded 4 200 euro.
I am sure that the cost of a second person is included in the hotel cost since almost everyone is bringing someone with them.

Thanks Badger,

Is the stay at the hotel in a double room, or would I have to book my hubby in myself?

Good luck this month, I look forward to hearing about your progress :) .

Good luck in Poland, Badger. You're a pioneer for us MS punters in the West of Scotland.

Which airport and airline are you using?
