cost of angioplasty in US

Post by ikulo »

For those who have gotten the angioplasty (or stenting) in the US, do you know the approximate cost. Not sure if my insurance will cover this so I'm curious how much it would cost.

Thanks!!!

I have seen numbers that range from $10,000 to $32,000 (see http://markkalina.blogspot.com/2010/04/blog-post.html).

It depends on what you mean by "cost." The hospital billed the insurance company approx $120K for all services. The insurance company reimbursed them maybe for a third of that amount. I didn't pay a nickel.
