Rough translation:

genevieve is going to see Dr, Vogl, and my understanding is to have venography throughout her body. She is wondering if Dr. Vogl has performed many procedures. She is reassured that Dr. V has done about 60.

I asked why the whole body?

Is that about right, cah? (I know "piernes" is Spanish, but the only French word that came to my foggy mind was 'jambons", and one must never call a lady's legs, "hams". grin)

What's important is that she's already got a doppler and MRV in Montreal, both showed nothing. So she's doing the venography despite these negative results! If she's getting a positive result from venography, that would be really intriguing.

This thread sheds light on how much info you can get if you don't speak english. You have to rely on what your MS society or neuro is saying... And of course, forums in your language if there is one.

Fred1208 and jean-la-grenouille are both French if she wants to ask them questions by PM. Also, there was a thread about Vogl, and maybe she could use google to translate that.

Hi Genevieve,

I had totally 3 Dopplers at the neck level!
The first one was done in China and the angiologist told me I had an issue with my blood flow. He even told me that this issue could be the reason why I was having headaches (optic neuritis).

I got a second one as I wanted to confirm the diagnosis. The second one was done in France. The angiologist told me “everything is fine!”

I was very disappointed and thought that the Chinese doctor could have made a mistake.
I decided to take a 3rd one, still in China but in a different hospital and a different angiologist. This time he told me that a had a stenosis in my internal jugular

My point is: if you don’t respect the protocol, you have huge chances to miss the target.

Bonjour Genevieve,
