Hello,

for anyone who has already had the liberation treatment done.... how did you handle follow up appointments?

Going to Poland on Sunday with my boyfriend who has MS....does anyone know if there are rechecks needed?? Re-imaging ???

I contacted Dr. McDonald in Barrie, Ontario a vascular surgeon who did a small study. He is not doing any testing for CCSVI anylonger, he has basically been shut down. There is a possibility to have the imaging done again to recheck, but if there are problems, I'm not sure who will handle it or do we have to go back to Poland??

Any help is appreciated in this matter.

Thanks.
Suzanne

I think Simka has recommended a six month follow-up. Maybe in six months time there will be closer places than Poland that will do CCSVI treatment? Otherwise if he feels improvements and then feels worse again, that could mean re-stenosis, and yes, people have gone back to Poland in those circumstances. Best of luck!!

thanks CeCe,

I appreciate the answer, at least I know a number 6 months, hopefully by then Canada will have gotten their issues resolved and will provide better care and take care of their own.
