It is the second time that in my mri they write that i have sphenoid sinusitis. I looked in a medical site and they say that a sphenoid sinusitis can cause an optic neuritis.

It is the first time i go to ask the hospital to have my file... I asked everywhere i have been in the last 10 years and i'm studying my case....

every body here showed me how to rule things according to ms... We have to be very proactive

So as my neuro never told me about this... Now that i still have this, sphenoid sinusits in my last MR i took an aopointement with a specialist... To see wath i can find...We call them in french ORL.....

amazing--clearly your neurologists are negligent in not following this up.

well, about 9 months after my ON (it was cleared up by then), i moved from raleigh to charlotte and got a new neuro. when i transferred my records, i was able to read them in detail. i asked my new neuro to send me to a sinus doctor because neuro docs only knoe about nerves - they suck at everything else.

went to the sinus doc and he could recreate the sinus anomoly in scans. that was a year after ON. did it fix itself? i used to have ON symptoms (fuzzy vision, etc) when i drank a soft drink or things that neuro thought affected my sinuses short trem. that has pretty much resolved over the last two years.

I didnt think about it again until this thread.
