This study posted in Acceleratedcure.org(from Pubmed) shows that a drug used in Japan and Korea..Ibudilast...to treat cerebrovascular disorder showed lower brain atrophy and those on higher dose had less progression after 24 months.
Have you heard of this? is it not another clue to the Vascular theory?

A telling conclusion: "They also noted, as has been observed before, that success in treating EAE is not a great predictor of success in human trials."
