Help! Need opinions
Help! Need opinions
I think I've restenosed - look at the right side (which is the left, because it's flipped). My IR had to balloon 4 times. I just got this today - 24 days post-procedure.
What does everyone think?
Thanks for your opinion!

Sorry girl but that pic ain't the best possible. Not to mention that the middle and lower part of your jugs are not visible. I could be wrong though.
One can only see that the other vein is the dominant but i doubt that a stenosis can be seen here. Dont panic. Just saw this to the doc who operated on you.
BTW, have you noticed any changes post op?

Ok, so I was totally wrong - but not in a bad way. All three areas that were ballooned are still open except for a slight stenosis in my upper left IJV (not enough to go in and fix unless there's something else).
Here's what he found on my MRV - my right sigmoid sinus (see this link; it's labeled "PARS SIGMOID": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gray488_blue.gif) is ALMOST COMPLETELY OCCLUDED - to the point where all of the blood is draining on the left side. He said it's something he can fix and while he's in there he'll also look at my upper left IJV and balloon again if needed.
He didn't see it on the venogram because he was only looking at my jugulars - the highest he went was right below it.
He also said that it will definitely need to be stented and that at some point in the future (years), so will the upper left jug.
He's going to the professional symposium on the 26th and will talk to one of the doctor's about my case. I'm going to follow up with him that week when he gets back and he said we can do it in August or September.
This is so freaking exciting! I was totally off base - but that's ok. It can be fixed!

WOW! Thanks for that. Please, keep us in the loop here whenever you decide to go ahead with this. First time we hear about this in this forum. I wonder if he will use a balloon there. Some of us should be very curious to see how this will go.suzq77 wrote:He didn't see it on the venogram because he was only looking at my jugulars - the highest he went was right below it
