While it was interesting discussing it, I think we all knew from the start that the people who are convinced of the veracity of the theory of CCSVI would remain convinced that the pharmas consider it a big threat to their profits and would be willing to do anything to stop the competition and the people waiting for more proof don't see pharmas as being concerned until there is more evidence that they should be concerned.

Nothing surprising about the situation and obviously no one can be wrong or right until more info accumulates.

So once there is evidence to be concerned, you're saying these companies at that point will be willing to do anything to stop the competition?

I've been watching biogen's stock price closely for a bit, and it hasn't come crashing down yet. Maybe that will be our best indicator for when CCSVI has made it in big leagues, which only time will tell. Time = money (and brain)!

Pharmaceutical companies would have to be worried if their main customer base: the neurologists, took this new experimental therapy seriously. As we all know very well that neurologists don't take CCSVI seriously, it means that the drug companies can relax. Their business is still secure.
Judging by the numerous 'cures' that have come up for MS over the years, people will think that CCSVI is also going to be of that ilk.
Only time and research will tell.
I for one, hope this possible risk to their business means that they work harder at making something that is of benefit to the sufferers of MS.

That's right, question CCSVI here because you can do so in anonymity. Don't go on Facebook though where we could see who you really are.

You can read all about CCSVIhusband here and by his real name (Rick) on Facebook.

But you can only read about scorpion, Lyon, PatientX, concerned (and few others here but mainly those) ... yet do we know who they "really" are nor what their agenda is?

So you tell me, who's more "Brad Paisley" ... CCSVIhusband/Rick ... or Lyon/??? who wouldn't dare post on Facebook so we can see a real profile or window into his life?

Why don't you all tell us who you "really" are?

I've seen CCSVI and its benefits in person ... they never have (and my guess is ... don't want to).

I mean how often can the same 4 people post online in succession, until the picture gets through to everyone? What ... is it the most coincidental thing in the history of man they just all ALMOST ALWAYS happen to be online at the same time every day? OR ... do they call each other up and get on this bandwagon and attack threads with their, do you really think nonsense?

I don't know them and don't care, because my wife has been liberated and I could never post here again, but I will to remind everyone that CCSVI is real, even when you think you don't have it (and to incite them) ... because that makes me smile. :P

You must real tired at the end of the day walking around with such a big chip on your shoulder. I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't join Facebook because it's a silly waste of time. Besides, I definitely don't want to give someone like you a "window into my life." And the only reason I joined this website is that I have MS.

Quote:
Personally, I'm not going to respond to their posts anymore, because everyone here knows what they're all about ... and they add no value to the discussion, just the same old questions they THINK add value, and further the discussion, but really just drag down threads and eventually turn into personal attacks

And how have your posts in this thread added to the topic? Instead you just accuse people of something (who knows what). If you think I'm wrong, please show me where.

Is it more than coincidence when any 4 people post in succession? Also, I hate to break it to you, but probably about 90% of the members of this website are anonymous, and they all have reasons. Maybe you should take a look at the registration dates for the members you take such exception to. Maybe that will ease some of your paranoia. If not, they have medication.

Dear MShusband:

You've said you're not going to pay attention to our posts anymore but still you have to bring me up when I wasn't even in the discussion. I'm glad I don't have facebook because your so obsessed with me you'd just use it to stalk me. And I'm pretty sure facebook has very little to do with real life. We all know how unreliable self-reporting is. It's also easy to make a fakebook, and I'm not talking jazz standards.

I really don't have an agenda, if anyone in ottawa would like to verify that in person I'm down.

I find the articles I post two ways. I either just browse the web or my wife, who is involved in stem cell research, makes me aware of them. Like you I believe that stem cell treatment is really the wave of the future.

.....

Just how "involved" is she I wonder?

Involved enough it's worth thrashing CCSVI at every mention since nobody wants to play in the "30 years from now stem cells MIGHT be accepted (let alone useful)" forum?

-- oh that statement from Scorpion above was in response to a post I made too ... he's your friend when you agree with him ... not so much when you agree with someone else.

Convenient.

Believe it or not there's a method to my madness.

I'm not accusing you of joining to bash CCSVSI - your right you've been here long enough to prove that (I don't argue that) ... but you could just be here for other reasons. If I had time I'd love to look back through and see what else you've bashed in the past ...

So, that said, I think you all know what I'm accusing you of. Everyone else does too ...

How often do 4 others post all on the same thread one after the other like often happens with you 4 (or some combination of you 4).

"PARANOIA, PARANOIA, EVERYBODY'S COMING TO GET ME ..."

"Put me in the hospital for nerves and then they had to commit me
You told them all I was crazy
They cut off my legs, now I'm an amputee
God d@mn you"

.....

Lyon, according to US News and World Report --- Penn State is the #47 school in the country in 2010 ... Michigan State was #71 ...

(don't worry, my program was #1 in the country - Supply Chain Management - Google it if you want).

How's that economy in Michigan by the way?

.....

I wouldn't wanna be on Facebook if I didn't have any friends who wanted to acknowledge me either. Then it would be silly to be there and be the only one with nothing to look at.

Once again proving that if you don't have anything meaningful to say, you just try to say something mean. (and totally baseless and stupid but I guess that fits your M.O.)

Where was it mean?

Stupid is as stupid does ... you're responding to it ... like I said there's a method to my madness.

Just finished a soon to be published 51 page thesis research paper today (I'll post a link when it's published). On supply chain engineering ...

so I guess I can't be that "stupid".

I might be mean sometimes (rarely on here though - since on the internet it would be kind of hard to infer tone behind my comments, maybe I'm sitting here laughing), usually don't say anything baseless though ...

Oh ... I've got 2 of the 4 ... where are the rest?

I figured out how to "hide" if I'm online or not too Lyon.

Look-out now, soon I'll be jumping up and down.

You're right, most people do pity me between my wife and I ... she's much much better looking ...

PS everyone please read Lyon's post in the "site help" or whatever it is forum, accusing the moderators of being biased in favor of CCSVI ... and only deleting anti-ccsvi posts.

I truly am sorry for ruining this thread though, to the moderators and all on this board (seriously) ... but I figure 1 thread ruined is better than 50 ... so I'll let them attack me on here, it's actually entertaining to me today (I'm in rare form), please enjoy reading threads that haven't been ruined yet and ignore this one. I assume it will soon be deleted or frozen though due to my irresponsible behavior. For that, I really do apologize.

I value being a poster on this board and talking about CCSVI and all the research we have done with all of you ... but sometimes I like to watch snakes and mongooses.

I wasn't talking about him specifically in regards to facebook though - but it makes all of us wonder who are on facebook and can see who we really are doesn't it why a certain group of these same 4 people aren't?

Saying that I'm not on face book because I don't have any friends is stupid because it's not true and you have no basis to say it. And it's mean because it's an insult. What don't you understand?

EDIT: get off the facebook thing, it's a ridiculous assertion that I have a hidden agenda because I don't have a facebook account. And you were talking about me specifically. You specified Lyon, scorpion, patientx and myself when you made your bogus facebook argument. That's four people you were talking about specifically, and I was one of them, see?

Funny, that post I mentioned about Lyon making in the Site Support forum mysteriously disappeared after I mentioned it ... It'd been there for 2 weeks before tonight. (yet had a timely removal less than 15 minutes after I tried to bring it to everyones attention).

VERY strange ... do you people get what I'm getting at here?

They'll question everything you say ... but see the responses you get when you question anything they say?

MAYBE I'll just join the "rah-rah" over on the Facebook page ... except I'll actually concede that before my wife's liberation ... I was curious and wondered if CCSVI was true too ... now I know it IS.

So I'll be attacked for telling YOU all it is. and believe me I'm fine with it, so you all can continue your discussions ... and see who the people opposing discussion and ideas really are.

*** SO MUCH FOR HIS CLAIMS PREVIOUSLY ABOUT NOT EDITING HIS POSTS *** he just deletes them instead. I should have replied to it or quoted it like he does so it would have stuck, you all would have loved to have read it, but I thought he "was above that" ... looks like he's slowly showing his true colors, though I suspect all the educated people on this board already knew what he was.

I've read Saul Alinsky too ... Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

Notice a theme here with their posts folks?

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.
