How inappropriate does a poster need to be before his account is closed?

Please think seriously about this moderators, if you want this forum to progress or even continue in the spirit in which it's intended, this thing needs to be nipped in the bud, the accounts closed and the IP blocked.

This will be the undoing of this forum if it is not addressed.

Posting again on a thread after your original post has been removed is a middle finger to the site moderation.

Time the account was removed please.

I'm beginning to understand why I don't seem to be seeing inappropriate comments on this forum. Certain posters are rabidly anti-ccsvi. When I see a post by one of them I just skip over it.

David, you have your own built-in kill file. :)

EJC, a mod must receive 5 pm's from members with links or quotes before taking it to the next step, which is publicly accounting for it, to be followed by a second chance. I agree that the reposting was disrespectful.

Many of them you won't see as the post will have been deleted.

These seem to be serial offenders.

In my mind, deleting the post is treating the symptoms, deleting and blocking the account IP is curing the problem.

This is isolated to one or two people only, it's obvious who they are and each time there are more than 5 complaints yet they are free to repost at will.

Is it just me or should this be dealt with on a more permanent basis?

I agree that posting things about peoples sick or dying family members is way over the line.

EDIT: Where is the offending post?

It was deleted already. Cece saw it because she quoted it so he couldn't delete it himself ... hers is gone as well.

it was the exact same thing he posted last week, except this time he also referenced whatever that Canadian guy's name was in it (Mostic, Mohair or whatever) ... and a link to an article about his death as well ...

It really makes me ill to think that someone can be so hurtful to others that have lost a loved one. I don't get it!!

I agree, people using sick or dead family members of people to try to score points is low. I would like to see the two or three posters who do this constantly just try to tone it down a little.

For example:

Quote:
I hope you look back when liberation proves out and say ... $#@& ... I KNEW ALL THE WAY BACK THEN ... I'M A TERRIBLE SON.

Quote:
good luck buying that casket for yours that you're sentencing her to.

Can we all agree that this kind of stuff about peoples loved ones is simply rude and unacceptable?

So now we are starting a whole new thread when something we do not like is posted? I looked up to the top of the thread and I got hypocrisy in my eye. The things you have said to concerned about his mother and now you suddenly are bleeding with empathy? Please leave the moral high ground to the others on this thread. They do not have an agenda and truly care.

I'm pretty sure Malden posted something inappropriate, had it deleted, then reposted nearly the exact same thing. It was inappropriate the first time, it was blatantly rule-defying the second time. Shame on anyone who tries to defend him.

I have no agenda and TRULY care about people and what I see on this forum by a chosen few is hurtful and wrong. There needs to be a line drawn and when and if there is, there needs to be consequences for those hurtful remarks. Like being booted from this forum once and for all!

I do not think anyone is trying to defend him but with all the nasty things that has been said on here it seems funny that a specific gentleman would start a whole thread based on Malden's post. I am glad if Malden posted something hurtful it was deleted. What comes to mind is a saying about a pot calling a kettle black I believe???

Others on this board consistently repost the exact same comments about other peoples sick family members no matter how many times it's been deleted. For seven months, over and over again, the exact same things....
