Welcome to TIMS and I hope you haven't already departed.
Marie Rhoads, the author of the book, CCSVI as the Cause of MS: The Science Behind the Controversial Theory
, is indeed a long time and well respected (at least by some of us) member of the TIMS community. I for one appreciated having more information about her book.
My personal interpretation of the TIMS policy re: advertising is that you did not break the rule.
NO advertising is allowed on the message boards, period. If you like a product, you can tell us about it.
You liked the fact a book on CCSVI was being published and you told us more about it. That seems to me to be well within the rules.
Those rules also state:
But if you gain financially from selling said product, your posts will be deleted and you will be banned from the site without warning
I never had the impression that you, Michael, would be gaining financially from selling the book. Hence, I don't think you broke any rules.
I anxiously await the opportunity to read the book. Marie is quite knowledgeable about MS and has always contributed her expertise to TIMS. Scorpion
As much some of you have wanted the rules of the board enforced on this forum it confounds the imagination why suddenly they should not apply. Seriously
Seriously, I do want the rules of the board enforced on this forum and hopefully I've just explained why I personally do not think that rule applies in this situation.
So we can understand why your imagination is so confounded, please also answer the question:
If you could explain what is meant by "ccsvi advertising" that would be appreciatedScorpion
No one said anything mean spirited.
Again, I respectfully disagree. I think insinuating (I know it wasn't you Scorp) that TIMS members who are interested in supporting CCSVI information and research are reminiscent of "Jim Jones" is very, very mean spirited. That's a lot of us.
I agree with Cheer,
the nastiness, mean-spiritedness and vitriol of certain posters on this thread continues to amaze me
It's another sad, new low point for TIMS. The anger and rage I feel is beyond description. Nor is it good for my MS. That's why I think good people abandon the site, feeling hopeless and helpless. We've been through it a lot.
Take care all
