Of the people who had improvements after their 1st procedure then restenosed and had a second procedure, how many got back their improvements?

I know that Lucky125 had successful 2nd and 3th procedures but I am under the impression that most did not get back to where they were after the first.
Some get better but never as good as the 1st time.

What is the success rate of repeated procedures?

I know about re-stenosis, hyperplasia, hypoplasia, blood clot, etc... But I want to hear about same or better results of multiple procedures.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hi Vivavie. It seems those that have done a second time or more do not get the same response as with the first. I do know someone that has recaptured her improvements with a second procedure but I think she is one of the lucky few.
How are you doing theses days?

We now know that restenosis is not a matter of "if" but "when", most likely everyone will have 2nd procedure but not the results!?!!

Dania: me, hyperplasia again! from your experience I know I don't want to let go of my left jug but I can't continue paying to keep it open! Everytime it closes the pain and fatigue increases.

Did you find someone to help you?
Your case is not CCSVI vs MS anymore, I don't undestand why Quebec drs don't get involve?
I am not on the forum as much as before, sorry if I miss some of your developments.

Have you looked into this doctor using radio frequency ablation?

javabean comes to mind as an example of someone who had multiple procedures without gaining or regaining improvements -- I can't remember if she had improvements initially.

garyak is someone who had improvements, restenosed and lost improvements, had a procedure and regained improvements as far as I know.

In Dr. Zamboni's original publications, the patients who restenosed had improvements come back when they were reballooned, didn't they?

Vivavie, did you ever find out if it is safe or reasonable to have a fourth stent inserted inside the others?

Dania: Thank you for the info! Is it an option for you? are you looking into the vein surgery in Italy? What is your next step??
As you are developping collaterals are you getting a little better?
You are often in my thoughts!

Cece: I am not emotionnally and ... Financially ready!!! I have difficulty to bounce back this time!!!

It will be a year tomorrow since my 1st procedure, lots of up and down... this one is difficult to swallow.

Dr S answer was not clear to me and I did not discuss it in more details with him yet.

One thing is sure, either way I am SCARED - more stents or let it close off. What if the other jug restenoses? It was angioed in Dec with big balloon and again at the valve in Feb. No guarantie there too!

I am waiting for an answer from Dr Spagnola in Italy. Seeing as they cannot get the catheter past the scarring angioplasty is no longer an option for me. Vein bypass seems to be my only hope.
I am not doing well. I am more disabled than ever. And getting worse by the day.
