Hi Everyone,
This is an awesome page with so much great info! I got tested for CCSVI last year at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where I live, and my Doppler ultrasound came out completely clean, therefore, the doc did NOT want to do the angio to see if there were blockages they might have missed. :( I'm ready to give it another try and get the angio anyway in the hopes that they'll find blockages. Question is, does anyone from Texas or the U.S., or anyone around the world, know of some doc(s) that are CCSVI friendly other than Baylor in Houston or Texas?

Thank you SO much everyone, be blessed! :) :)
Gisselle

I was just going to answer Baylor!
Dr. McGuckin might have a clinic down there, does anyone know?
We have definitely heard of people getting a nothing-there first doppler who go on to get the procedure and there are definitely stenoses to treat. I would not be discouraged. False negatives are more common than true negatives.

Thank you so much for your reply! I did get a bit discouraged and that's why it took me several months to think about trying again. But I'm sick and tired of missing out on life, this heat sensitivity, spasticity, and drop foot will be the end of me. And it's criminal for there to possibly be an answer to some or all of this and I am too scared to try right? I heard there is 1 doc in Dallas but that's hours away and my job's not very forgiving on giving me time off.

Fingers crossed I'll find something, I just feel that if I just do the angio that they WILL find something significant! :)

Dr. McGuckin of Vascular Access Centers, in Houston, TX.
There are people who post here who have been treated by him. Everyone speaks highly of him. You can watch youtube videos of him explaining the procedure. I don't know how many procedures he has done but I am guessing it's in the hundreds.

According to seabea, May 3rd is the last day that Dr. McGuckin will be doing CCSVI imaging and procedures in Houston. If you're interested in him, you might want to call asap.

Anyone know more about doctors in Houston that even test for stenosis of the jugular veins? Anything that is covered by insurance as a preliminary look at the blood flow?
