And you thought Montel didn't know Jack..

And I guess Jack will now get Montel's stripped down big pharma version of CCSVI.

Thankfully, Sharon's one smart cookie, and wil (hopefully)l get him in quietly to have his veins looked at. Then The View can have this Zamboni guy with all his radical ideas on for a cup of coffee and a great talk with Sharon and Jack.

Kid's got a fighting chance to just maybe go down a road that starkly contrasts the MS journey of the past.

Thats the kind of face we need up front representing. Unfettered, with no obligations to please the money handlers or worrying about how CCSVI may disrupt book sales.

Just a sick kid looking for answers, and one hell of mama going to bat for him.

“Montel has been a really great source of information because he’s so knowledgeable about MS,” Osbourne said. “He’s had it for a long time and he’s very active in the world so he’s kind of my go-to guy when anything comes up.”

This is actually great news.

Remember that Montel was treated for CCSVI by Dr. Ponec and that he had very positive results including improved balance and improved heat tolerance. Montel has also said that if his doctor said he needed venoplasty done again, he'd get it done immediately. Montel also attended the 2011 NYC symposium on CCSVI.

For whatever reason, after that successful beginnning and after promoting what would have been a Dr. Oz show on CCSVI, Montel went quiet on CCVSI. But that is his public persona. Based on what he has said about his improvements, I expect him to privately have already told Jack Osbourne everything he needs to know about CCSVI.

The topic has no commercial potential. It has been assured by tactics of TV and paper news-media, talk-shows, etc., that it will not soon get any, while the paid pundits and medical hucksters will assure other more "disease-modifying" remedies get as much air-time as money can buy. That is good, because all that cash means they might accidentally discover something.

We dont need Montel to do much of anything, adding plastic TV gimmickry and soundbites to CCSVI wont do anything for any of us, and by the looks of the studies being perpetrated on us MS patients and the newly dx'd Jacks of the world, while real studies with teeth are languishing, gasping for air and funds, I've seen little but disservice and lip service so far from Montel or anyone else that has a microphone loud enough to be heard.

Ask Canada how much closer they are today to even get scans covered. They had wall to wall coverage, it only forces the purse string holders into making a quick decision on which direction to punt, and they have a lot more whistle blowing refs to add into the mix. That is the risk we take when attempting to jump start the process, fast tracked drugs, Bataan death march for the rest.

Montel was not the breakthrough everyone thought him to be, his allegiance is to his future earnings, period. Not that I blame the man, gotta make that money while the makings good, mouth's to feed and all that.

Just sorry that Jack couldn't have got his info first from a more educated and reliable source, that was the point, guess I wasn't clear enough. Wish Jack the very best, he has options none of us had 5,10,20 years ago. Good for him. He's a real kid with a real, sudden tragedy we are watching unfold in real time, albeit oh so slowly. You'd be surprised how many people do not know the first thing about what MS is, I had to go look it up myself, was always something TOG (The Other Guy) gets.

We are not going to fix this from the top down, the media is not our friend, Hollywood for the most part is plastic, dirty, corrupt and exploitative. $ is the only thing that matters. We are just guaranteed income and lifetime revenue streams to the pharmas ,the dr's, the hospitals, the exact second we hear, "probable MS". It would behoove us to look at ALL of this with that lens.

And there's a difference between jaded, and focused. Discriminating, and discerning.

The other night I saw Montel on another late night TV commercial. This time he was promoting a payday loan company.

my own opinion (and only mine).

Montel got a taste of the spot light again with his CCSVI annoucement.

He got releif from his symptoms that made him think he had the energy etc to make another run at fame and fortune.

he is now taking any gig he can get - earn whatever he can while the earning is good. who knows when MS may stop him again.

Fair assessment Doug, cannot say I would not do the same given the circumstances.

Since early on we've been hoping for that "star power" of some form to get on board and plant that flag on planet CCSVI, some mistakingly thought Montel would get treated, hopefully enjoy success and presto, CCSVI on the lips of every American, well that didn't happen because of money, specifically which side his bread was buttered on. Like I said, cant blame him, he has a lifestyle to support and mouths to feed, his star has faded to basically shuckterism. Whatever it takes. Hollywood is a dirty corrupt town top to bottom, they are just good at publicizing the good stuff and hiring people to mitigate the bad stuff. "Thats business".

As a former Marine, I have to respect him.
As a talk show host, I admire him.
As a father, well I'm sure there is much to brag about.

All that added up does not equal "default best prospect for CCSVI frontman/woman".
Some think it does, why I haven't the foggiest. Its going to be a long grinding road frought with politics, machinations, maneuverings, agendas (personal and otherwise), and somewhere in all that mess that is The System, the science will plug along and creep forward ever so slowly behind the scenes as it seeks to establish a foothold on the long slippery slope of forward progress, so we need someone with
A. Name/recognition/star power/voice and a microphone
B. The guts to see things through no matter the cost.

Unfortunately, few stars are willing to do B. but most have no problem with A as long as there is some reward/recognition/bronze plaque/hospital wing waiting at the end. There's still some good people there, and by Hollywood I mean generally speaking the entertainment industry as a whole, just to be perfectly clear, so hope is not completely lost, but finding one to go counter to billion dollar pharma that isnt concerned about upsetting the revenue generating apple cart is going to be difficult.

Not impossible, just difficult.

Finally I know why Montel was so uninterested in CCSVI. In this web he recommends the Atlas Orthogonal correction. The underlying model for MS is quite similar to CCSVI, but the treatment is completely different:

http://necksecret.com/Atlas_Orthogonal.html

The date of the recommendation is 2008. It would be interested to know his evolution.

Montel had angioplasty and improved. I think having both treatments might be the way to go.

dania, both treatments may be the way to go at some point but as you as well as myself are a perfect example for some to consider seriously which first? angio? chiro.? you have really screwed up veins now resulting from angio. yet, even at that you got very positive chiro. results helping with csf flow thus blood flow. makes the question -- that like had we known then what we know now it makes more sence to straighten things out the best possible "non invasive" with chiro. and some may even require surgery in certain cases. then if need be or choice if you want to risk looseing the veins totally angio. until they come up with something better than what they got to prevent angio. scarring and clotting i for one will not do a repeat angio.

you have much to share. you've shared the bad and the good. and i can't say enough how happy i am for you. keep the good news coming.

Expect a Television program following Jack's struggle with finding treatment for MS.

It's already on the cards, sorry I can't expand more as it would compromise the person who told me.

I would hope that CCSVI would be included and portrayed positively! And I hope he's doing well, whatever treatment(s) he's chosen.

In reality this all depends on who is funding the TV show as to what route is being taken.
Privately Jack Osbourne has already been clued up on what's available, but going straight to the end doesn't make good TV or Money does it.

Look how Montel handled it all, has been on TV whooping it up about CCSVI?
