UK- Can you get CCSVI diagnostics on the NHS? Has anyone?

Post by dc10 »

Hi ,

I have had three CCSVI procedures (Balloon angioplasty) fter doppler scans.
1ST time in Poland = IJVs both dilated with balloon angioplasty - saw slight improvements in mobility but only lasted 4 weeks
2nd and 3rd times in Belgium = IJVS and Azygous all dilated with Balloon angioplasty, saw even slighter improvements these times

This was in 2010 - 2011. I dont intend to pay privately for any more CCSVI treatment, but least i gave it a go.

So last week i went to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queens Square, Central London, United Kingdom.
As it hd been 10 years since my last neurologist visit , he wanted me to have an MRI exams and a few other tests,

i told him about my CCSVI experiences but forgot to request some CCSVI diagnostics, if they even have them here in th UK on the NHS

So before i call up the hospital requesting a referral to a radiologist, is it even possible to have CCSVI diagnostics in the UK on the NHS?
Has anyone had diagnostics for CCSVI on the NHS?
