It seems Dr Dake is not seeing near as much azygous involvement as Dr Zamboni did.

Possible explanations:

1. Dr Dake's sample size so far is too small (not enough PPMS).
2. Dr Zamboni saw azygous stenosis that isn't there.
3. Dr Dake isn't seeing azygous stenosis that is there.
4. Others?

Just curious if anyone else is a little bothered by this.

Hi Rokkit

Well I am the PPMS person that had the azygous stent and I tell ya the azygous had many collatel veins...I'm not sure if there were any others w/PPMS that has gone to Stanford. Atleast a couple of SPMS'rs though. I think Sharon w/ RRMS had some problems w/the vena cava where the asygous drains into. Boy it is hard keeping track now :?

I was having a hard time keeping track, too. So maybe that's all it is, just not enough PPMSers yet.
