I am one week out from surgery and feeling good! Alex called to schedule my 2 month check-up today. I really can't head back to CA at Christmastime, which is when I'd have to go. I asked if I could have the imaging done elsewhere and I'm waiting for an answer.
Has anyone had their check-up done somewhere other than Stanford???

Yep, I had mine done in Boston. Dr. Dake was ok with my doing it here because he knows so many of the medical folk. But not sure how he feels about other places, or about anywhere other than Stanford these days (my check up was in September). I will be going back to Stanford for the 1 year check up.
Good luck! And just think, maybe one day, there will be plenty of local, knowledgeable, medical professionals for everyone's CCSVI check ups

Alex is checking into Buffalo and Stony Brook to see if I can go there for my check-up. This would be ideal since my husband's from NY and we go there for the holidays anyway. My fingers are crossed!

Rhonda, glad you are doing so well.
ARE YOU RESTING AS PRESCRIBED??????????????????
You know there are these satellite things in the sky that can watch and report on you.
Not to make you paranoid, but please sit down and stop cleaning the bathroom.
Go REST!
I know it is hard with kids, but you really must force yourself.
OK. That was my old mother speech to young mother who must chase children.
Take care, Rose ;)

Rose, how can I rest when I feel so good??? I am tired though, I'll rest, promise. How are you? My INR was 1.9 today so I'm upping my dose. This stuff is a roller coaster. Did you get your INR check stuff taken care of? Be well my friend:)

Magoo,
Glad you are feeling so well.

Today I am absolutley PAIN FREE! I can even look out at the bright sky and no eyeball headache!

I even yelled at the dog without thinking, which would have put me on the floor before and it didn't even make one pain!!

So, yes, I know what you mean. It is too exciting to sit down, huh?
Tomorrow I am going to walk down the street with my husband to compare it to where I usually have to stop and sit and rest. Can't wait to report back!!
Keep it low key! Rose
