make sure you take Dr Simka's paper on how to perform a doppler, also it is important that they have the right kind of equipment to carry out the test.

Appreciate the feedback, thank you Michele.

Good Morning TiMS,
Abbott Laboratories here in ireland are about to release a stent to the market which has been specifically designed for use in veins. It should be released to market soon.
I'm Irish & i've had the procedure done in Poland 02/12/2009
Has anyone got any News or an update on the above item.
I've seen this in a CCSVI FACEBBOK page in the past & i've asked for more details. But that CCSVI group has not responded. Can anyone on TiMS shead some light on this subject for me PLEASE.

Hello
I'm new to this site but not to MS, thanks to you I've found out loads of "stuff" and last week sent mails to Drs Simka and Kostechki in an attempt to get myself on a waiting list for CCSVI diagnosis and treatment. So far no response but I guess that's no surprise.

Have to confess I'm somewhat wary of having stents and thought I would go for the balloon option, however reading that there may be a specific stent in the offing is very encouraging, unfortunately I can't find it either.

Thanks to everyone who contributes on this site, great help and encouragement to us all. Linda

Hi Linda

My brother (the MSer) also emailed both doctors last week, to get onto the waiting list for an appointment. So far no response either, but what I'm seeing from the threads on this forum is that it appears to be a waiting game and all you can do is wait for the reply.

Hope everything goes well for you.

Muriel

I wish you all the very best Ally and I look forward to reading your thread.

Can you tell what date you sent your initial email to Dr Simka asking to join the waiting list?

I'm really just trying to get an idea of timeframe.

thanks,
Muriel
