Thank you for your answer.

Did you call him or contacted him via email? I sent him my email from “gmail” and starting to be paranoid that it went straight into their spam box.

Alicia,

I have only e-mailed him twice. I asked several questions regarding the procedure and aftercare but have only received the cost and the month.

Steve

Perhaps Dr. Simka's mailbox is full. It seems to me that somewhere in this thread (or maybe the thread about Edser's trip) there was the name of Dr. Simka's colleague. If you do a search for his name, you will find somewhere in the CCSVI forum his colleague's e-mail.

Hi, I am sorry I do not have an idea what to do. It has never happened to me.
I think it is because of Christmass holiday. Maybe he went somewhere and nobody takes care for his e-mail box.
I am sorry, you just can try it later or send him a fax.
Erika

I sent my email (gmail) to Dr. Simka approx. 2 weeks ago. I did not get any reply yet. My mail seems to be delivered.

hello everyone. just want to introduce myself. Have been following messages here for a couple of weeks now - so much invaluable info to take in!

I emailed Dr Simka yesterday evening, and realise that I probably won't get a reply for a few weeks but that doesn't stop me checking every hour :) I didn't write much as I find it very difficult to concentrate... just asked for an appointment!

Will post on here when I do hear back.

btw, does anyone know if it's possible to get the treatment done in Italy?

Hi colapesce, welcome!

I know what you mean about checking every hour. I sent an e-mail to Dr. Simka on Dec. 3, after waffling for a week. It took three days for a reply then. A few days later, it was taking a week, and now weeks. He is also reportedly booked into 2011 - a very good reason for all of us to get around the road blocks in getting dx and treated where we live.

Dr. Simka reportedly gets 100 e-mails a day, and I would not be surprised if he gets a magnitude more than that. My understanding is that he reads and replies himself. I get around a dozen e-mails a day, and can't keep up with them. Yikes!

He's booked through 2011? When you're the only guy I suppose that's right. I will be in a chair full-time by then. I emailed him last week. I was hurrying to get travel docs ready, but no need to rush. I can only keep up the letters and phone calls for people here in the states to hop on board.

Hi SandyK,

I don't know for certain that Dr. Simka is booked through 2011, but I did read here somewhere that it was into September 2011. Get your travel docs together none-the-less, that you will be ready to go. Look for India, and Germany (and ?) to be doing something in 2010, and keep up your spirits.

Hi everyone
First of all a massive THANK YOU!!! I've been reading and learning so much from this forum, and it has given me the impetus to actually take the plunge: I have an appointment with Dr. Simka for a doppler ultrasound on the 1st December!!! I'm going the go over for the 30th November so if anyone else is there, let me know and we can meet up!

Some of my background: I was diagnosed with RRMS Nov 07, although there had been 'odd happenings' for 10 years previous to that. By the time it was diagnosed it was aggressive and I had 4 relapses within 6 months. By the time of my fifth relapse, this time last year, I went on Tysabri and had my EDSS assessed at 6.5. Since then I have, thanks to the drugs and a very strict diet (BBD), improve dramatically and now I reckon my EDSS to be 3.0. My hope is that this procedure will stop progression and enable me to come off Tysabri. I think diet will heal the damage. Also, I hope it will take away my fear of the future.

Health and happiness!
