Currently the only sure-fire way to confirm or deny CCSVI is by doppler sonography. The techniques used are currently known only by a few doctors. Dr Haacke is researching to see if a change in the MS MRI protocol will be beneficial in detecting CCSVI. Unless your doctor is on board with CCSVI I would suggest you talk to him about this first.
