According to this source, Dr. Zamboni's work has been stopped in Italy. Can anyone verify if this is true or not? There is an email address at the bottom of the page. Not sure if they will respond to queries or not.

You can put this url in the google search feature, then click "translate this page". The translation is difficult to understand, and I just wondered if anyone knew what is going on? Does it mean as I'm gathering from google's translation, that Dr. Zamboni is not allowed to treat patients for CCSVI any longer?

If anyone reads Italian, maybe they can clarify what google's translation leaves out. What is happening right now with Dr. Zamboni's work in Italy?

Just been on the Italian facebook CCSVI page and it appears there is a ray of hope:

Ciao a tutti, notizie dal fronte Regione Emilia-Romagna. La riunione di questa mattina è andata bene e, entro questo mese, dovranno essere predisposti i protocolli tecnici.

This relates news that the appeal meeting of Friday morning Italian time went "well" because they (health officials from Prof.Zamboni's region) decided to enforce cedrtian technical protocols.

More info later on this....I don't think the matter will rest until Prof.Zamboni is free to practise his CCSVI protocol in Italy again!!!

Thank you so much avantitech - I wish I could understand Italian. This has been so discouraging and the language barrier makes it even more difficult to obtain news. Please do keep us posted on what transpires - I hope they will give Dr. Zamboni a chance to help the world.

Btw, Ozarkcanoer - I don't belong to that other forum. Is ThisIsMS affiliated with them in some way? Do they share moderators? Since not everyone is on FB, I just wondered why it isn't appropriate here?

Thnx for the heads up - I am a newbie.

The press release of the Regione Emilia concerns an interrogation, presented by a politician of AN-PDL (centre-right), regarding the fact that it seems that the activity of Zamboni has been stopped without declared reasons.

And it might be worth saying that the politican speaks in a very positive way about CCSVI, that it can't be denied that the procedure brought an improvement to the health of the patients and that ceasing it left the "sicks and their families in despair" (well, he's a politican  ).

But it is quite remarkable that a member of a party considers CCSVI a fitting theme to get active for.

selkie, you don't have to "belong" to the CCSVI Facebook page to view it and read the posts and responses. Here is the link

Thanks, all. And Ana I hadn't considered it that way when trying to read the translated versions. I didn't realize the politican was speaking in favor of Dr. Zamboni. Maybe this in itself is hopeful that there will be a shift later in their decisions. I certainly hope so.

Thanks again. s.

St. Anna Hospital of Ferrara, in collaboration with the Bellaria in Bologna, was developed a treatment protocol targeting the sick with multiple sclerosis infected with "cerebro spinal chronic venous insufficiency (CCSVI), and such treatment would demonstrated an unquestionable improvement of these patients: moving from here the question raised by Enrico Aimi - the group An-Pdl - Denouncing the fact that by the end of September the Sant'Anna di Ferrara can no longer exercise the Protocol, for reasons now mysterious, "leaving in despair, the sick and their families."
This treatment protocol, said the adviser, is divided into a series of steps that are aimed at removing the causes of disability such as CCSVI disease, restoring function to patients already lost. Aimi asked if the council agrees that this protocol from the scientific evidence so incontrovertible evidence regarding the effectiveness of the intervention, or the grounds on which the State does not recognize the scientific validity of the Montreal Protocol, arriving not to allow the Hospital Sant 'Anna continued diagnosis and treatment.
