I am so worried that the Buffalo study won't have the funds to continue their CCSVI study, so my husband and I just made a donation to the Buffalo study . We are bypassing all the MS societies and their overhead and going right to the researchers. Merry Christmas everyone.

I found that SUNY-Buffalo has an explanatory brochure to describe their research study and includes the previously posted information on making donations. See Buffalo Neuroimaging Analysis Center for the brochure. Has some good images of iron deposits in a subject's brain also.

Thank you to all that can and have donated. At this time of the year we usually donate to a charity and now I know which one it will be.

Special thanks to ozarkcanoer. If I remember correctly, you have already had your procedure done and are giving so others can have it done as well.

I haven't had the procedure or even the scans. I was scheduled to go to Detroit to be scanned using Dr Haacke's protocol on Dec 7, but it was postponed until some indefinite time. I've had no news from his research coordinator as to when I will get rescheduled, but I was assured that I would be scanned. I'm guessing it won't be until the beginning of the year.

I just started a new topic "How to give to Buffalo study so they can complete the research."

It has all the information you need to give by credit card online, by check or money order and who to contact re: a gift of stock or a wire transfers.

You will probably want to do a wire transfer from your bank to the UBFoundation account if you are outside the U.S.

The post also has the link to their beautiful holiday card wising us all a "Holiday of Hope." We all need that!

I just want to say that we have donated to the Buffalo study so the CCSVI research may continue for the benefit of everybody who has MS.
