Hi,

My appt with the Dr is on the 9th Feb. He has told me that the Doppler is in Katowice and the MRV in Zabrze. How far is this away if you've been and how much will a taxi cost??

Thanks Guys

Claire

Zabrze is about 20 minutes by Taxi from Katowice. I paid 80 Zloty - one way.

I will Esta, no worries about that. I'm only going for the Diagnostics at the moment. At the moment I just want to know, I'll decide on treatment after. I'm very lucky to have an old family friend who is a Vascular Surgeon offering to do it for me here in the UK. I want the expert to do the scans though!!

Best Wishes

Claire

Are there any any other Dr. Simka patients on this site? I know only of Erika and Mutley.
I plan to see him in April.

There are quite a few - Edser, brainteaser, greyman is in the day after tomorrow (Jan. 6th), Fiddler goes in April, comfortably numb goes in May, I go in May... pepe's wife is going any time now, too.

That is off the top of my foggy head, but there are lots... I know there are others in June, August, October, as well

Hi Claire,

Pepe and Pepe's wife have been to Poland last month to get the Eco-Doppler and the MRV done. No problems at all with the doctors, the nurses, the waiters, the taxi-drivers, the airport workers, the bus drivers, the Hotel recepcionists etc. etc. Please, do not worry about the Polish people. Everyone was nice and friendly. At least, these are our feelings after visiting Poland for 5 days on December, 2009. We are going to fligth to Katowice again. We will arrive to Katowice on January 16th because the intervention was confirmed by Dr. Simka for January, 18th. We will be there the whole week. Please... ask for anything you want to know. In this forum you will find people who love help others.

Pepe.
