can anyone tell me if a CT-SCAN would be able to show CCSVI? I have a Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) for my hand tremors from MS, therefore it is very diffficult to find someone / somewhere that can give me an MRV?

I just know I have stenosis, but the dr I have been to is not following Zamboni's prrotocol and therefore he is looking at wrong images and keeps telling me everything is normal. Well of course it is, the Dr is looking at arterial flow not the jugular & az :?: ygos veins.

Thanks for your help,
AJ

i think ct can detect ccsvi but a colour doppler scan could be even more useful.

good luck.

printed all of zamboni's papers and email them to him. I think the dr thinks it's just going to be a routine check...............well u and i both know it isnt. I just want a dr to sit and read the protocol and follow it according to Zamboni.

you and me and all of us. keep trying, you ll get there. even if it's not tomorrow, it will be soon. in Greece it's almost impossible to make them interested. so i have to pay serious money to travel abroad just to see if ccsvi applies to me...but this is the only way.

I was told by Dr Dake (at Stanford) that the CT scan is less operator dependent than an MRV. He was firm in making it understood that the radiologist understood, it was of the veins and not the arteries and therefore there is "more delay". He recommended I get the CT done locally over an MRV because of this. My only issue with CT is the radiation exposure.

The doppler tests are proving to be very operator dependent.
