Well, Maledicte, I'm a confirmed Holiday Hater - and I have been for many years. It may be for different reasons than yours, but I can go on for hours about those reasons. In my case, family has been (or is) often a big part of the problem. Sigh.

The season doesn't drag me completely down so much as you, since I've come to terms with my life and manage to adapt and avoid as much of the holiday hoopla as possible. And the good news is that this year has brought a bit of stress relief from the last 10 years or so. My absurd sense of humor has returned and has been serving me well.

I think I can even spare some especially good thoughts and wishes to send to you and everyone else here. Hang in there with us.

P.S. I'm sitting here alone in my house on Christmas Eve without a single Christmas decoration - I stopped doing that 10 years ago (BEFORE I was dx'd with MS). And I'll go to bed at my usual time of 9:00 and be up at 5:00 (with a smile), rested and ready to face whatever transpires with my family tomorrow afternoon. Probably some fun will be involved, even though it IS a holiday, after all.

I'm not complaining, it's intentional and I'm completely fine with that. I've got 5 straight days off from work and I'm in the midst of several fun little projects. Last year this time I was watching people die & stuff. Life is much less stressful this year.

Maledicte, I'm sending you lots of christmas good wishes for standing up for me against that now vanished troll. I am going to put a few papers on orphan pages on my website and PM you the addresses tomorrow. Also I would like to buy a couple of your beautiful necklaces for birthday presents for friends. I'll have to try to work out how I can do that since I am in the United Kingdom.

Sarah
