I've been down that road myself, but much worse (long story). The BEST (Least Irritating) cure is not cranberry (nor raspberyLeaf), but rather, Natural Cherry stuff, such as Bing-Cherry-Concentrate, decaf-cherry-berry tea, etc.
ALSO: What the doctors are failing to inform people is that a major trigger of various dormant infections/flu/sores is Electrocriminallergy from Bright Lights (such as in stores)... and from Computer EMFs which are prematurely aging people without their knowing! Large bright screens are bad, as are high GHz processors. Lately, they're coming out with Pixel-Qi (Epaper-mode)and also Fit-PC2. Or else use smaller, low-watt netbooks such as eee-pc, HP-mini etc.
Also, minimize processed food, nuts, grapes, salts, sodium-nitrites, Dark-Chalkylate & extreme citrus, spices & raw onion/garlic. Balance all those Arginine foods with Lysine foods & sweeteners such as xylitol, turbinado, raw-honey, eggs, yogurts, yams, cherries, beets, veggies, sweet melons.
