Just me grumbling again.

I moved some stuff around yesterday. Nothing big or anything, and I went real slow. Today I’m really ill with fatigue. It’s days like this that scare me. I tell myself it’s OK to do this now and then. I want to stay as active as I can to retain some stamina but the price is getting high. I’ll probably be down for a couple of days now. Maybe I’ll catch up on the other posts.

Just another day in the life of an mser.

I’m not going to make a habit of replying to myself. I’m not that crazy yet, but. I called my neuro yesterday because I was very fatigued and had some sweating at night. They said – call your Primary Dr. Primary Dr. was out so I was told to come in and see the Nurse PA. The next thing I know I’m in the back of an ambulance headed for the hospital. 8hrs later, after a battery of tests, xrays, and blood work they concluded it was MS. Everyone did the right thing. I just wasn’t expecting to go for my first ambulance ride. I guess MS is able to mimic many things, including a heart attack. The good news is I know now my hearts great and I don’t have any infections. I even got to watch my favorite TV show. Figured I’d post this, it probably happens all the time.

Maybe you could have the BP monitor test like I did. This is nothing to mess around with. There are lots of good BP meds now, with lesser side effects than they used to have. Could you get a home BP cuff? Sometimes medical supply stores sell the kinds that work pretty well. I have one at work and home. My BP is running kind of high the last few days, so if an increase in my AD medicine, I'll have to start on Toprol XL again... It makes me more sleepy, but it helps to avoid a stroke.

I do have an automatic b/p cuff. I check it often here and its always fine. I'm going to take it with me next time and be sure that its calibrated.

That should be interesting . It will be probably twenty points off.

I hope your BP cuff is accurate and your doctor is right. With my old one, I found it was off and had to replace it. I test mine right in the doctor's office the same time they do it.

Hey mick, feel free to grumble... I understand what you are saying. Former life: super man/woman... MS life super TIRED man/woman. And it's more than just sleepy... it's mind numbing exhaustion. Naps and protein smoothies help me That's all the newbie advice for today... just starting to get my thoughts out there. Good luck!
