Expert Patients programme

Post by Muu »

Hi folks. Last Spring I attended a course on self management of chronic health conditions also called the expert patients programme- although personally i'm not keen on that name as I don't think of myself as either an expert or a patient! My neuro first mentioned it when I was dx and then i set out about finding out about it and booking a place.

It's for anyone with a chronic health condition. I was the only mser on my course and I didn't know just how much i would get out of it. I was really surprised as to how much i learned and how the topics covered help me feel that I was back in control of my ms instead of the other way around. Anyways, I have now completed my training as a volunteer tutor and will take part in delivering my first course starting next month. Ta dah!

ps:
It would be interesting to know if any of you have any experiences with the EPP
