I live in Ottawa , Ont. Canada...
Here, the weather has been affected by the global warming. We have more snow then I have ever seen. The weather is damp... everyday.... EVERYDAY It affects my ms and my joints. I am so fed up of learning how to walk every morning. I know, I should be happy cause I can still work and do so every day but I stumble and have near falls and scare everyone around me...
I need sunshine. I went south and came back to this white sh.... . I am so fed up... I know... there will be a summer and it will be too hot but the ice and snow scares me now..... ok,, that is enough whining... thanks for reading... Carole

Carole, most of us understand the need to vent at times and have done it ourselves. Go ahead when necessary; we've been there.

I'm so sorry, Carole! You have every right to vent...this winter has been simply miserable for you! Be careful on the ice.

I went to college in Rochester, NY and the great lake effect snow lasted from October -April. I wept with joy when the crocuses started peeking out of the ground. I wish you a springtime vision, soon!

And you're right about global warming changing the weather. It's going to affect so many of us in different ways. Been watching the flooding in the midwest and tornados in the states. Not good.

stay safe and warm,
AC

Is it bothering you enough that you'd consider moving?

Carolew - Spring is on its way to you! I was feeling much the same as you - went to California for a few days --- came back to Denver, the snow has melted and my crocuses are blooming and my tulips are peeking through! What a delight :)

for Dignan, I will not move now but I am sure thinking of going elsewhere to retire. I am now 49yrs old... will work a few more years. Just might go somewhere where the weather is more predictable and less humid. .
Otherwise, I will become a snowbird.... Carole

We have a lot of Canadians visiting during season-you could be one of them!
Many have jobs here for the winter then go back home when the weather breaks there. We would love to have you!

How nice of you Lori. I have a job that I can't leave for 3 months and then come back to it.. unfortunately. I still have to explore many parts of Florida and I am sure thinking that I will retire there or close to there. So, I say, see you later, cause it just may happen!!!

Carole-- I say "vent vent vent" We all need a safe place to do that. I could relate to much of what you said. The too hot summer months are sooo difficult, but the cold and snowy conditions come with there own set of challenges. Here in Milwaukee, today, we are being buried in snow for the third or fourth time this winter. Irony is that today is the first full day of spring. So, yes, as much as I don't look forward to the heat, we all could use a break from winter.

Be good to yourself, and take care. Amy*

a few hundred miles to the south around Peoria, Illinois, it is sunny, 60 degrees, and we plan to grill steaks outside this evening for supper.

But it's spring--tomorrow rainy and 40.

The good weather MUST come to stay soon, mustn't it?

Living in Montreal, I have to say that I can relate to what you are saying Carole! I’ve never seen this much snow in one winter! But... warmer temperatures are just around the corner.
