Bob Stardust (and the Spiders from Mars) got me thinking of Bowie songs. One of my faves is a cover of a song from the 50s (Nina Simone also does a great version):

that's funny bob, i needed the laugh to. i can tell you to the minute where i was on 9/11. i had called Greta (she was still in college) and told her not to go to school that day. i was working in a hospital and left work to watch the news. i still remember that feeling when i heard what was going on over the radio. all i wanted was to be home with her.

This one is called "Waivin' Flag" by a Somalian-Canadian artist named K'naan. The clip is from Q, a radio program that also does videos.

I like all kinds of music. I can listen to Korn, Slipnot, Disturbed, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, ect.... No rap.
But, my all time favorites are from the 70's country like Don Williams, Conway, Crystal Gayle, Merle Haggard ect....
Get me a 12 pak, a can of snuff, and some good old country, I'll be set for hours!
