Klenner food notes - I include the info in the following 2 points, because it contradicts sources who suggest avoiding eggs.

16) Make certain that the hemoglobin is at least 13 grams.

17) High protein diet with two to three eggs for breakfast.

IMHO eggs are a great whole food if eaten in a balanced way. yes i did eat two eggs per day for breakfast while i was on this regimen, but that is far from the norm. usually i have 0-1 eggs per day. rarely two these days.

i think protein is the point of the recommendation. If protein is low hemoglobin levels can drop.

THE ROLE OF DIETARY PROTEIN IN HEMOGLOBIN FORMATION (rat study)

"The foregoing experiments taken as a whole offer strong evidence that an adequate quantity of dietary protein is essential for normal hemoglobin formation in the rat and that the caloric intake is of minor importance. The mild chronic anemia occurred in all animals fed the low-protein (lactalbumin) diet, whereas a normal blood picture was found in rats given the same amount of diet containing an adequate quantity of protein but a restricted amount of calories. Furthermore, the chronic "low-protein anemia" developed in spite of an increased intake of calories. Further evidence that the observed anemia is due primarily to the low-protein intake was obtained in the group of "low-protein" rats realimented with an adequate amount of protein but with no change in the intake of calories, minerals, or other dietary constituents. A prompt remission of the anemia resulted in these animals."

FYI from mayo clinic:

''A low hemoglobin count is generally defined as less than 13.5 grams of hemoglobin per deciliter (135 grams per liter) of blood for men and less than 12 grams per deciliter (120 grams per liter) for women."

Recent information on eggs. Heat and exposure to air
when cooking eggs with broken yolks turns them into negative nutrition .
Soft boiled being best. Internet

The BB gun approach to health most posted here is very distressing. I did not get to be 81 armed with a BB gun.

Dr. Klenner is quoted in the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine as saying that "some physicians would stand by and see their patient die rather than use ascorbic acid because in their finite minds it exists only as a vitamin."

New research, eggs. Broken egg yokes are attacked by oxygen and heat and turned into negative or bad nutrition. Unbroken yokes do not. They termed soft boiled is best.

Another bit of research stumbled upon. Vitamins and supplements taken alone without support of other vitamins and supplements can be mistaken as toxic by the immune system and sent to the liver unused. I have always suspected this but was not sure. I thought they just would not be as affective. Vitamin C is the exception and accepted even on an empty stomach witch surprised me for I generally take the vitamin c with something.

Distressing because I see so many post describe taking individual vitamins and supplements. Just as eating the same foods with little variety is not good nutrition. Mother nature furnishes man and animals with many thousands of nutrients. I have cows here in the summer and they make gardening difficult. The cows break in and eat almost everything. They just love garlic and onion tops. Magnesium or vitamin D3 or E or most nutrients unless a known deficiency is diagnosed may cause an imbalance if not supported. Vitamin c seems to be exception. But vitamin C still works better with several or all the vitamins and minerals. Vitamin C and E are known work better together. The klenner protocol uses several vitamins and supplements, not just one or two. Thank you for being interest enough to want clarification. You are welcome to question anything I post. Please keep me on my toes. I am not the most erudite or organized person and I know it. I spent over 4 hours looking for REFINED SUGAR The Sweetest Poison of All. Those key words brings up 1,900,000 hits. I looked three hundred or so and did not find the paper I read several years ago. The sites I did looked at had all and more of the same information. Refined sugar is the most insidious health hazard on the planet, responsible for over 70 break downs of our mental and physical health. Also spent two hours researching Microwaves, another health hazard. Like the refined sugar industry and drug industry, if you see their lips move they are lying.

search tips: try placing double quotes around your search terms if you're using google. it will only go for the exact phrase. or you can use the advanced search and use the exact phrase field.

whole food is the best foundation, no doubt about that. supplementation has to be done so carefully, also true.
