happen to be all over protein atm, as my friend recovers from major surgery.
look for diverse healthy sources; yes meats are highest in protein but overdoing meats/eggs/grains can increase cancer risk. do include fish (cod actually best protein bang for calorie buck). and definitely keep the plant sources in the equation. spinach, broccoli, brussels sprouts, potato, sweet potato, these i believe provide 5g each per 1 cup serving. sprouted whole grain bread also good. kidney beans and other legumes. greek yog. so many options!!
take control of your own health
pursue optimal self care at least as actively as a diagnosis
ask for referrals to preventive health care specialists eg dietitians
don't let suboptimal self care muddy any underlying diagnostic picture!
