Ginger bad for you?

I didn't understand much in this article, but just reading the first few and last few paragraphs, does this mean ginger is bad for your brain?

i had a quick squiz at it and it looks like an isolated component of ginger can kill of neurons in vitro. i don't know if we can extrapolate that to ginger=bad.
i haven't read the whole thing because i didn't want to log into my library but for anyone who's interested in just abstract:
