hi just got back from seeing my neuro he has asked me if i would like to go on a drug trial for leflunomide (Arava) had a quick look at the drug pipeline but could not find anything. Has anyone heard about this drug or any one on it ?
elaine, leflunomide is similar to the oral drug currently in phase 3 MS trials, teriflunomide (teriflunomide is an analog of leflunomide). Leflunomide is an approved rheumatoid arthritis drug. There have been lab/mouse studies suggesting it might be helpful in MS, but I've never seen any info on an MS trial of leflunomide.
