Maybe change in diet accounts for the increased incidence of MS. The traditional Japanese diet based on rice, fish and vegetables protects, the "western" diet based on wheat, meat, and dairy (saturated fats) leads to immune system stress, vascular stress and venous blood reflux. (My kinesiologist feels that up to 80% of the population has a gluten intolerance.) Genetics? Try a genetic intolerance for glutens (and junk food in general).
