Hello,

"Travel, Transport and/or Nursing/care Help in Frankfurt"

My parents are taking my brother from Ireland to Frankfurt in Germany in early March to see Dr Vogt

My understanding is that depending on the outcome of the scans my brother will have the procedure carried soon after, then at the end of the week return to Ireland.

My brother is a wheelchair user and needs help transferring to and from it.

I am looking for information here, can I ask if you know of any of the following that may be worth contacting.

- Groups or organisations who may be of help - Germany version of MS Action, or specialize travel firm ideally basic in Frankfurt

- hotels, hostels, or B+B offering wheelchair friendly accommodation preferably close to the university of Frankfurt

- Wheelchair friendly taxi services in Frankfurt,

Any suggestions very welcome, or any other travel tips, thanks for your help.

Sam.

Hi Sam, welcome to This Is MS. It looks like your questions concern possible CCSVI treatment, so I suggest that you head straight to the CCSVI subforum first if you haven't already found it. Here's the link: http://www.thisisms.com/forum-40.html

There are posts and threads there about CCSVI treatment in many different countries, as well as plenty of travel hints; some of the CCSVI posters seldom venture out of the CCSVI Forum and therefore won't see your post here. :)

And...you're more than welcome to post any question you want here in the General Discussion Forum, or any of the other forums, too. Make yourself at home!

These sound like questions that the hospital should be able to help you out with in getting answers. Have you tried contacting them?
