This Is MS Multiple Sclerosis Community: Knowledge & Support

Friends, Americans, Canadians, lend me your ears;
I come to mourn People with MS, not to praise them;
The Pain that men have lives after them,
The good is oft interred with their bones,
So let it be with these souls ... The noble MS Society
Hath told you they are wrong:
If it be so, it is a grievous fault,
And grievously hath they answered it ...
Here, under leave of the MS Society and the rest,
(For the MS Society is an honorable institution;
So are they all; all honorable men and women)
Come I to speak at our patients decline...
They are my friends, faithful and just to me:
But the MS Society says they are wrong;
And the MS Society is an honorable institution….
MS patients brought much testimony home to Canada,
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
Did this Patient body seem wrong?
When that the injured have cried, they hath Liberation:
Wrong should be made of more useless stuff:
Yet the MS Society says they are wrong;
and the MS Society is an honorable institution.
You all did see that on the procedure
We have one hundred times presented a healthy glow,
When one hundred times improved: Is this wrong?
Yet the MS Society says Patients are wrong;
And, sure, they are an honorable institution.
I speak not to disprove what the MS Society speaks,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did wish patients healthy once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then to help them?
O judgement! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason…. Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with fellow MS Patients,
And I must pause till it come back to me.
