This Is MS Multiple Sclerosis Community: Knowledge & Support

Well, I sure we're all pretty much careful during this time of year....I have left work full time, i was hoping fo rone of the 2 'gyms' in town to help me out with membership fee cuts so i could keep up with swimming...NO,,,Then, the pastor of my hospital phoned each one of the 11 churches in my town, of all denominations to see if they would take turns with getting 5 months of rent paid...NO I was supposd to be in a study at RUSH that cancelled at the last minute, I had no provisions set for just being unemployed, SSDI is filled out, but couldn't be filed 'til I quit work....

But the worst, The midwest power outage...OH MY 5 full days Living like a poineer. reading bu battery lantern and candles, and I have a small handheld wind up light to get me to the bathroom safely at night

Well, I got to know all of my neighbors, and get this...I live in a 3 unit small T.H. The Folks in back have a 5 unit small Apt bldg. There was one other small house, and one commercial bldg.....

OUT OF 850,000 PEOPLE OUT OF POWER, WE GOT AN EXTRA 24 HOURS.

I will never take my fan or AC for granted, never, but the last 25 people out of 850,000, that's cruel! It taught us lessons though....we're gonna try and not use energy at night anymore

I told them I was sick and needed to get out of the 90degree heat, would they help with a cooling center, 1 noite at a cheap hotel..NO
