Hi all,

Welcome to our newly updated forum. This is MS has been around for nearly 10 years, and our software was becoming an antique. I have upgraded us to the latest version of our existing forum software, which unleashes a host of new features and usability improvements. We should NOT have lost any posts, and your existing username and passwords should still work.

Please play around with it and report bugs-- I expect there will be many as we work through the kinks.

Thank you always for your support and usage of This is MS.

Cool! Thanks, Arron. I think I'll like it once my obviously distorted and disturbed MS brain develops the new neural pathways necessary to absorb it all, but so far it looks lilke there are no Smilies showing up in any of the threads this morning. My MRIs show up in old threads (hooray!). My pics show up. But no Smilies. And now I see many of them are missing here in my Message options.

I'll try adding one that does show as an option  and another one  But the basic Smilies are missing. You do realize that if we don't temper our insults to each other with Smiley Faces, it will be absolute chaos here, don't you? :O (I tried typing in a Smiley here instead.)

I'm also pleased to see that my old, gasping, wheezing computer is finally allowing me to type an entire post - possibly due to the new format! Really cool!

OK, smilies have been fixed (and I added a bunch of others ones, like angel, clap, crazy, and so on-- you'll have to click 'view more smilies' to see them on a posting!).

Looking good! Please keep the bug reports coming.

OK, wonderful. The one thing I notice might NOT be working right off the bat is avatars-- if your avatar is not showing up, go to "user control panel" on the top right, then edit profile, then edit avatar and choose a new one from the gallery.

I believe that at least a handful of posts were lost in the transition, although the threads are still there. The last posts I see were from around 5:00 pm last night, and I know I read a few new ones after that - before my 9:00 pm bedtime. :D In fact, my plan was to attempt to force my computer to respond to one that's no longer showing on a thread.

Euphoniaa, it is possible that a few posts might have been lost in the transition, basically from the small window of shutting down the old forum and starting up the new one. I apologize if that happened :(

That's entirely understandable. I'm just so excited that I'm able to post again so easily, that you may not be able to get me to shut up.

Hmmm...thinking....thinking... Which threads did I unsuccessfully try to post on in the last month, so I can leave this thread alone?

Hi Arron, thanks for the update. :)

The new "Save Draft" option when typing posts is terrific. With the old software, I used my email account to hold posts that I couldn't finish typing in one sitting.

In the CCSVI forum, there is an approximately twenty-hour window of no posts from 2:00 p.m. Sat. thru 10:30 a.m. this Sun. morning which seems to be an unusually long gap of time for no posts in this forum.

Also, when clicking on some links, this error message appears: "Sorry, but this board is currently unavailable. Please try again later." The following post has examples of such links: viewtopic.php?p=175209#p175209

Good luck with the new software.

Actually, I noticed when the updated TIMS came online early this morning, that the last posts in the CCSVI Forum showing at that time were from around 5:00 pm Saturday (just like the General Forum) and they're still there. There are a few missing postsafter 5:00 pm, however.

I was checking out the forum from very early this morning before it came online until the first poster showed up at CCSVI much, much later than that (edited to change the time to 1:30 pm). No posters at first but me. Very few viewers until later either. It surprised me, too. But then I'm often alone on here at 5:00 am - reading the forum, reading my newspapers, exercising. It's what I do instead of drinking coffee. :D

ok guys, thank you for the bug reports. keep them coming. i will do my best to get rid of them as soon as i can. That broken link one is my priority.

and yes, the new features are soooooo many. it is literally moving the software from 2005 to 2011. i cant thank you guys enough for giving it a good try out!! I chose a weekend that the activity should be lower, so we shouldn't be too worried about the activity.

HappyPoet, thanks for pointing out those broken links. Those are now fixed (complete with highlighting). :)

wow!!! I am having severe option anxiety, looking at all the font colors and smiles and bells and whistles.
We got a major update!
Yeah, a couple of my posts were lost during the switch, but they weren't any good, anyway, so no worries :peace:
(i just wanted to use the peace symbol.)
Aaron---thank you, thank you, thank you. For your hard work and for giving us TIMS 2.0
with much appreciation--
cheer
