So I read the posts on tims every other day or so to try and make sense of all this. It helps to know that other people are in the same boat as me. I have no where near the knowledge on this that most of you do, but I have, not so much a theory but well maybe it is a theory I don't know...
There has been a lot of posts on here about the cause of MS being a viral infection of some sort and even new evidence suggesting that a virus is a factor in the appearance of lesions.
So going based on that assumption people that have herpes simplex 1, typically will get outbreaks of cold sores if they are stressed or if they are over tired... Sound familiar?
As ebv is a herpes virus is it not possible that it reactivates, for lack of a better term, and then causes an flare up the same as HS1 would cause a cold sore?
I don't know maybe I am way off base here but it seems plausible to me.
Let me know what you think!
