HI THERE I'M NEW TO YOUR SITE SO HI TO ALL!
NOW I'M WONDERING IF I'M JUST BEING PARANOID OR I MIGHT HAVE A SYMPTOM OF MS THE REASON I'M BEING PARANOID
IS BECAUSE MY DAD HAS MS HE FOUND OUT HE HAD IT IN HIS 40'S AND I'M TURNING 40THIS YEAR.. I'VE BEEN GETTING THIS
NUMB FEELING AT THE TOP OF MY LEG MAINLY WHEN I'M SITTING ON FLOOR WITH MY 3YEAR OLD SON OR OF A NIGHT LAYING DOWN AND SLEEPING WELL NOT SLEEPING SO MUCH CAUSE I CAN'T GET COMFORTABLE THIS HAS BEEN CONSTANT NOW FOR ABOUT 3WEEKS. I CAN LIFT MY LEG ALL WAYS WALK FINE ITS JUST WHEN I'VE BEEN SITTING LIKE I SAID BEFORE. I DON'T THINK I'VE HAD ANYTHING ELSE RELATED TO MS BUT I SUPPOSE I'M LOOKING FOR IT MORE CAUSE MY DAD HAS IT. IS IT GENETIC? I'M ALSO BLOOD TYPE B WHICH ARE MORE PRONE TO MS TOO.. IS THIS NUMBING THING THAT PEOPLE GET WITH MS CONSTANT OR IT GOES AWAY AFTER FEW HRS A DAY ECT?
IF ANYONE CAN REPLY I WOULD APPREICATE IT..

Hi woody. Welcome to TIMS.

I am not a doctor but it sounds like maybe you are overly paranoid because of your father.

it could be a simple problem with your posture.

but to be honest, you should be saying these things to your doctor. if it is MS you need to know as soon as possible.

You should definitely look into potential physical causes before worrying too much about MS. Since your nerves do appear to be involved, I would see a physiatrist if you can find one. They specialize in the interaction between muscles, nerves & skeleton (many specialize in spine and/or sports medicine).
