A University of Saskatchewan scientist plans to use the Canadian Light Source synchrotron to study the role some metals play in multiple sclerosis.

Anatomy and cell biology Prof. Bogdan Popescu wants to find out if levels of iron, copper and zinc in certain central nervous system cells can help define distinct forms of MS, or could be a target for drugs to prevent the disease’s progression.
