Cerebrospinal fluid which circulates around spinal canal and surrounds brain is currently studied in MRI machines called FONAR where it was found that any obstruction in CSF circulation can increase CSF pressure and may cause it to leak to nearby cells and causing damages to the cells. Please note that majority of the affected areas in MS are around CSF circulation or production (Ventricles).
