My son has had MS for 5 years. Primary Progressive. His nemesis is spinal spasticity and pressure. It has completlely
immobilized him to the point that he is only able to stay in bed on his side. He had a Baclofen Pump surgery and it has done nothing
to alleviate the spinal spasticity. It only completely took out his legs. He is desperate for help and nothing, no meds including Morphine, Zanax,
Valium, Vicodin help. He has gone to a spasticity expert, three in fact, and no change. Does anyone else have this same situation? It is inhumane how
much he is suffering.

He cannot even sit up in a wheelchair or in a hospital bed. HELP!

sounds terribly unpleasant! question: has your son's serum magnesium level ever been tested?

Moom9335 – many of us here have unconventional ideas about MS. Mine revolves around excess insulin and insulin resistance. I encourage every person with the diagnosis of MS to ask a physician for a "fasting blood insulin test" – not to be confused with a glucose test (My results have always been over the optimal 3 UU/ML. Six other people I know have reported results like mine.). I do not have your son's situation, but you might consider having his insulin level checked. He might have a problem with skeletal muscle insulin resistance. If so, diet is the only means of treatment that I know of. You might find the story of Dr. Terry Wahls and her dramatic MS improvement interesting – it gives all of us hope: http://www.TerryWahls.com

My hypothesis: excess insulin (hyperinsulinemia) plays a major role in MS, as developed in my initial post: http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-discussion-f1/topic1878.html "Insulin – Could This Be the Key?"
