I am seriously thinking of moving somewhere where I can get a medicinal MJ card. I have tried it and it helps greatly with the spasticity and (believe it or not) my cognition. I read an article recently saying that it may also help prevent relapses and new damage. I will post a link when I find it. Honestly, I would rather use a natural substance than these man made chemicals they thrust on us. I am about to start interferon treatments and I am not a happy camper.

There is a lawsuit currently in the US DC appeals court to force the feds to reschedule cannabis out of Schedule I so it can be used medicinally.

http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2012/10/08/appeals-court-to-consider-theraputic-value-of-medical-marijuana/

It is significant that it is in the DC appeals court since their decisions on federal agencies cover the whole country and not just the geographic district they are in.

could this help the insulin connection some feel impacts these symptoms they call ms?

also, note the positive effect on circulation.

another "good reason to keep it illegal!"

it's all about $$$$. My son is severely BiPolar and he dumped a $380 a month sleep drug for pot-leagal in CA. He sleeps a full 8 hours now and he never slept more than 3-4 before. He ended up being hired to deliver and counsel cancer patients in the Monterey CA area where it's the only thing that helps with pain management in last-chance type patients. Legalize it and control it, one thing that might help with the deficit! LOL!!!

blossom – Thank you for posting this article; it had much information which was brand-new to me. It certainly could have a connection to insulin.

let's not forget our precious pets that are being cheated when it comes to treatment of illnesses. i know this is supposed to be all about ms-but if anyone here has had an animal that becomes your heartbeat and sickness and death happens to them and you can say it did not effect your symptoms-then you're a lot tougher than i'll ever be.

besides that, this is a long read but i think you'll see what i see-like this dr. feels synthethic will not give the full benefits-or the part where some countries feed it to their animals with all positive effects. then some of the comments-one in particular where the guy cured his cat of cancer useing the oil.

there is a connection to ms in many ways-THE FIRST IS THAT IT EVER BEING MADE ILLEGAL WAS BULL S. AND THAT NOT BEING LEGALIZED STRAIGHT ACROSS THE BOARD IS NOTHING SHORT OF SUPER BULL S. SUPER GREED!

"MARIJAUNA BEING ILLEGAL IS PURE "BS"-PLAIN AND SIMPLE"

Ya think??? It's all about lies and deceit and GREED.
I so agree about it being BS but then I had my neuro who diagnosed me with SPMS and say there was nothing I can do for it other than lose 20 lbs (& gets who knows how much kicked back from Big Pharma) tell me that there is no such thing as "medical marijauna" and that the stuff will rot my brain. My next question being to him, what does it matter as I've got 16 lesions, an uncurable chronic disease and no quality of life. ( CCSVI treatment & LDN he called them a cash grab). At that point he started sputtering & became so enraged that I thought he would tear himself from limb to limb like Rumpelstiltsken.
In response to this display, I quitely said "Thank you" and left the office.
Talk about someone who felt threatened by marijuana.
Anyhow I no longer see this neuro twit but am legally allowed to buy & posess 10 ouces a month now as I have my medical marijuana prescription from a nice doc at a walk in clinic who agreed that this all about quality of my life as it helps with my pain & spasticity.
I truly hope things change for the better in this regard for the US soon.
