Do I have MS?

Postby UnD3R0aTh » Mon May 06, 2013 5:33 pm

here is a description of what i suffer from, i get episodes of sickness in which i feel extreme tiredness, confusion, malaise, fatigue, lack of energy and vitality, and here is a key symptom, when i'm feeling like that i get blurred vision, i can't read anything it's all blurry, this usually takes 1 or 2 or 3 days to clear up, i usually resort to sleeping when i'm feeling like that, and as time goes the severity of the symptoms changes until i return to normal feeling again, no blurred vision, no feeling of tiredness, i can just resume my normal life again! another symptom that's persistent in days of sickness and health is frequent urination and sometimes sudden urge!

Welcome to ThisIsMS.

Before modern, expensive tests were available, doctors used to diagnose MS on the basis of symptoms and if they temporarily worsened when the patient sat in a hot bath for a while.
My hypothesis: excess insulin (hyperinsulinemia) plays a major role in MS, as developed in my initial post: http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-discussion-f1/topic1878.html "Insulin – Could This Be the Key?"

hard to say, UO. can you go to the doc? or are you concerned about receiving an official diagnosis?

a regular doc will be able to assess you and point you in the direction of a specialist.
potential lifestyle/nutrition issues are far from likely to be addressed down the mainstream avenue.
you will need to seek alternative/complementary assessment if you are interested in that kind of investigation.
here's some reading to help you decide if it could be a worthwhile course of action: regimens-f22/
(most times you don't need a diagnosis to take action with nutrition.. testing if great but putting a nametag on the illness is not really the point.. one thing though, you should be aware of whether you have any genetic issues that affect how your body handles nutrients, whether your on meds for which certain things are contraindicated, etc)
hth :)
