I couldn't agree more with your above statement. It pretty well summarizes how the established MS world of medicine operates. But like you said, it isn't surprising to have Reingold and McFarland take such a stance. The financial ramifications from Prineas and Barnett being correct in their theory would be staggering.

Very interesting post, finn. I'd be interested to know if there are any articles that present the autoimmune theory side-by-side with its opposition. I'd also be interested to see some actual proof that the NMSS and the NIH have "dismissed" Barnett and Prineas's work. Harry does a lot of kicking and screaming and arm-waving, but it would be good to have a more sober and thorough assessment.
