This is the "Dr Huggins" who had his license revoked back in 2006, and who agreed not to use the DDS qualification. Correct?

You are correct. Dr. Huggins had his license revoked because he did not agree with putting mercury in peoples mouth. He is more interested in making people healthy. I can tell you from my own experience once you get too much mercury and too many root canals in your mouth you will get very sick. You can call it MS, ALS, mercury poisoning are any number of diseases but the results is the same. You will get so sick you will wish to die. Just keep listening to the criminals running the American Dental Association and see what happens.

.

That may be what he tells the gullible, but try reading the report. Or, did you miss the part about gross negligence?
Or, did you miss the parts about diagnosing (cancerous) tumours that did not exist?
Or, did you miss the part about trying to shift responsibility onto his employees?

It all comes down to who you believe. Someone who is friends with the ADA wrote the article. It is all a big lie so the ADA can keep putting poison in your mouth. You keep putting mercury and root canals in your mouth and see what happens. Explain to me how anyone can believe it is Ok to put mercury (a known poison) in a mouth and it is good for your health? Mercury is a poison and doesn't belong in the mouth. I can tell you from experience once you get too much of this stuff in your body you will get really sick. Once you figure it out it is going to cost a lot of money getting it removed. Best to leave this alone if you want good health. It is not just Dr. Huggins telling us this. The problem with the dental industry is well known.

Well Wanna,

I guess if you tell us anything you've learned from experience as it pertains to any kind of medical comment, it MUST be correct. After all, you are educated and trained in all of this and of course are totally qualified to advise us in these matters. I'll sleep much better tonight knowing you are looking after our health and ensuring all of those criminal experts don't lead us in the wrong direction.

And I'm glad that you find a dentist who has been convicted of gross negligence on his patients is someone whom we should totally trust with his medical advice. Thanks again for your care...I don't know what we would do without you on this forum!!!

Hey, I was being nice to Wanna!

But speaking of being out of line....I hope you have sent the same comment to Wanna when he calls the FDA "a bunch of criminals", many doctors "liars" and accuses some doctors of providing false information and care to their patients! Those comments from him have been constant and are not only out of line but border on liable.

Harry we must tell the people what the doctors are doing to them. When I got sick the doctor told me it was old age and I have to learn to live with it. That was a lie. The doctor put me on blood pressure medicine and told me I would be on it the rest of my life. That was a lie. The doctors are telling people with MS they have to do the drugs and that is a lie. When doctors are treating people with chronic illness with drugs they are harming them. People need to stop letting the doctors frighten them with their lies and understand the real truth. The real fear should be going to the doctor which is a leading cause of death. JAMA tell us this is a fact and that is no lie.

Wanna...you are totally obsessed with what one lousy doctor told you years ago! Doctors are like any group of professionals...you have excellent ones, good ones, average ones and "not so good" ones. But you seem to judge all doctors who don't agree with you or what some of the quacks you are quoting, the same way. You call them liars, criminals etc. which borders on liable. You continue to use these words on this forum and as long as you do, people like me and others are going to challenge you.

If you want to disagree with what people say, then you are certainly entitled to do so. But trashing them by calling them liars and criminals and whatever serves no purpose other than indicate to the readers how narrow minded and bitter you seem to be. When a friend disagrees with you, do you call him/her a liar and criminal? I would hope not! Try being civil on this forum and you will receive the same courtesy. Continue the way you have been and be prepared to to receive the same kind of disdain you have been getting.

I don't know any of you guys. Doctors differ and patients die. To my way of thinking I would change doctors if I had a bad experience with one rather than malign the entire profession. If I had a number of the same 'bad' diagnoses I would tend to think that they can't all be wrong. Finally we should learn how to disagree without being disagreeable

I might read more about the report on Huggins since some of the charges sound worth investigating. Though from what I saw the criticisms raised here really did not call into question the overall mechanisms Huggins is suggesting. Also I felt compelled to respond about the idea that a number of bad diagnoses cannot all be wrong. I suppose that depends on how you look at medical orthodoxy and the question of standard of care. There is of course a need to have some standards and commonly taught principles, but such orthodoxy comes at a cost and one of those costs may be a type of universal tunnel vision from conventional medicine on a lot of issues. Charlotte Gerson is not able to practice in this country as well. Cherry producers are not allowed to quote clinical studies on the effects of cherries. And if we wish to go into the Andrew Wakefield case, i think we begin to see a conscious attempt to deceive the public. I certainly do not believe all conventional doctors are by any means intentionally practicing negligent medicine, but as a whole I think the system is almost hopelessly broken in terms of promoting true health

- jimmylegs has addressed the cherry issue.
- Of course Charlotte Gerson is not allowed to practice - she has never qualified as an MD (or anything else, I believe).
- Yes, go into the Andrew Wakefield affair, and the deception on the part of Wakefield is fairly obvious. Look at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Wakefield
and Wakefield does not look to be a highly moral character fighting for a belief. His financial interest in an alternative vaccine alone is enough to question his motives (quite apart from his taking money to discredit the MMR vaccine).

Alternative theories are how science progresses, so we should never reject any of them out of hand. Failure to produce supporting evidence, however, is a pretty good reason to reject.
