Intermittant fasting

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

For myself, I am sure I have Metabolic Syndrome, not diabetes but pre-diabetic.
Many PwMS will be like that; it is the HERV and its consequences; see first page

On the sibject of this thread, I think we need to take the discussion to a higher abstraction level.
I am sure fasting helps to resurrects the immune system.
Just like a low fat diet (Swank) may help.

This is a legacy that has been carried over for thousands of years and eventually found its place in the Old Testament, the Bible, the Koran.
In a good Christian tradition, I remember we eat fish every Friday (talking now 50 years ago..).

But our modern lifestyle is taking us ever further away from natural living and good tradition.
Lack of sunshine, vit D, stress, fats, diet, we forgot about fasting etc all have changed.

The immune system is the victim, gets ever weaker; 90% of it located in the gut....
As a consequence, the HERV virus is no longer kept under control.

Together with the ccsvi (which may be the consequence of heavy metal and passed from generation to generation) this gives specific lesions in our brains.
And the meningal inflammation. And the MS.

The story is complex with multiple aetiologies.
The gut and the immune system are central.
